Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These terms cover your use of the Amigurumi Buddy iOS app. By using the app you agree to them.

What the app is

Amigurumi Buddy is a crochet pattern library and progress tracker. It ships with free amigurumi patterns published by their original designers, lets you tick off rounds as you work, and lets you import your own pattern PDFs.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in method secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

Subscriptions

Amigurumi Buddy offers auto-renewing subscriptions:

Plan Price (USD)
Weekly $6.99
Monthly $19.99
3 months $49.99
Yearly $79.99

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple’s decision, not ours. Request one through Apple’s support at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

The bundled patterns belong to their designers, not to us. They are free patterns published by their authors. Your subscription pays for the app — the library, the tracking, the import tools — and not for the patterns themselves.

You may use the patterns to make items for yourself. Whether you may sell what you make, or redistribute a pattern, is up to each designer’s own terms. Do not redistribute the patterns or resell them.

If you are a designer and want your pattern removed from the app, email us and we will remove it.

Patterns you import

You keep ownership of anything you import. Only import PDFs you have the right to use — do not upload patterns you obtained illegally. We do not review or police your imports, but we will remove content if a rights holder tells us it was uploaded without permission.

By importing, you allow us to store the file so we can show it back to you and restore it on your other devices. Nothing more.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the app or its servers, and do not use it to distribute unlawful material.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the app working and the patterns accurate, but crochet patterns are written by people and can contain mistakes, and text extracted from an imported PDF may be parsed imperfectly — that is exactly why the app asks you to review an import before saving it. The app is provided “as is”. We are not liable for a project that does not turn out as you hoped.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time and delete it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will update the date above and tell you in the app where the change affects you.
